Absolutely NOT! Hypnosis is just a word that means trance state. You get to decide how relaxed or sleepy you become. It normally starts out as a light trance, and the more you do hypnosis the deeper you might go. But you are ALWAYS in complete control. This is not stage hypnosis. Remember that all hypnosis is just self hypnosis! If you prefer you can simply book a guided relaxation without any hypnotic techniques.
Hypnosis is great for changing habits as we can get to the roots of why the habit exists in the first place and what you want to replace it with! It's also great for building confidence in one's self. As well as a variety of other reasons like : working with the emotions, inner child work, chakra journeys, and all the basics like quitting smoking, lifestyle changes, etc.
From a young age Vanessa had personal experience with hypnosis as her Dad learned it and taught her how to do self-hypnosis to stay calm during her asthma attacks. From that moment on, she knew the mind was powerful beyond what most people think. After practicing meditation for years she had a profound connection with her mind and breath. Learning to guide others into a relaxed state is something she's practiced for years in groups or private sessions.
